4 Parsippany Residents Honored As “Senior Citizens Of The Year”
The town honored 4 residents with the Socolowski Senior Citizen of the Year award.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — Four Parsippany residents were recently recognized by town officials for their contributions to their community.
Every year, the township hosts the Socolowski Senior Citizen of the Year awards, where residents nominate someone 50 years and older for their work in the community.
Winners are residents who volunteer their “time and energy to
organizations, projects, or activities which have enhanced the lives of others.”

This year's four winners are Evelyn DeCastro, Judi Chase, Vicki Rice, and June Golden.

The Socolowski Award was established through an endowment from the estate of Jean Socolowski, a woman who was committed to volunteerism and worked to encourage others to get involved in their communities.
