A JazzFest performance, multiple places to find food trucks, plus the NJ Cornhole Tournament. There's plenty to do in the area this weekend.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A JazzFest performance, multiple places to find food trucks, plus the NJ Cornhole Tournament. Those are just a few of the activities available around Morris County this weekend.
If you're ready to leave home, there's plenty to do around Morris County. Keep the weather in mind though. As of Thursday afternoon, the Saturday forecast calls for possible showers in the morning and likely showers in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
That could mean some events get canceled and rescheduled, but cross your fingers. Here are five activities scheduled for this weekend:

Chester Food Truck and Music Festival
More than 20 food trucks are expected to cruise into Chester. The event will include three bands, kid's activities, vendors and more. Festival-goers can bring their lawn chairs or blankets to sit while they eat and enjoy the music, with their four-legged canine friends invited to be a part of the festivities too. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Municipal Field on Chester's Main Street. Admission is $5 each, with kids 5 and under no charge to enter. Find out more here.

NJ Cornhole Tournament
This event will feature more than a dozen food trucks, live music and activities for kids and adults. Plus, you can put your cornhole skills to the test for cash and prizes. Participating in the competitive division costs $90 per team, with two beers included. The price will increase to $115 on the day of the tournament. Competing in the backyard division costs $60 per team, or $80 on the day of the tournament.
The competitive division will play for a prize pool of $2,500 — $1,500 for first place, $600 for second and $400 for third. Prizes for the backyard division include two sets of boards for first place and two sets of bags for second. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at 1515 Route 10 E, Morris Plains. Montclair JazzFest Block Party
They're making up for a year without live music. Join the Montclair Jazz Festival for a day of live music. From 12-9 p.m. Sunday, performers will take the stage in Lackawanna Plaza, Montclair. Voted “Favorite Music Festival” for three years in a row in the NJ Arts People’s Choice Awards, this year's festivities have moved to the heart of downtown Montclair to support local businesses. Ort Farms Sunflower Festival - Early Bloomer Weekend
Join Ort Farms in Long Valley for the Sunflower Festival kickoff. The earliest blooms in their sunflower trail are ready. Wander through 5 acres they've planted and take some great family pictures. The fun will include hayrides, cow train rides, pony rides, Jersey Girl Brewing and Dellano's Food Service. Dig It! Plant It! Eat It! Family Saturdays
Through hands-on gardening, a tour of the Macculloch Hall Historical Museum (45 MacCulloch Ave., Morristown) and an art-making experience with a New Jersey artist, children and their caregivers can enjoy nature while learning about life in the past.
Free preregistration is required. Participate in one, two or all three sessions Saturday. The event is recommended for children 4-10 years old and has a limit or 12 children per session. Find out more and register here.
