The State Sectional Championship round has ended and the Red Hawks have advanced 11 athletes in individual events, 5 relay teams and captured 7 Group 2 North II State Sectional Championship titles. Girls finished 2nd overall with 83 points and the Boys finished 4th overall with 48 points.

Girls 4x400m Relay
Special acknowledgement to Bria who has won 4 straight 100m and 200m State Sectional Championship titles and 2 straight 400m State Sectional Championship tiltes! That’s pure dominance!
Highlights:
1. Javelin Sweep!!! Kathryn Campbell captured the Girls javelin title with a mark of 127-02. Daniel Campbell won the Boys Javelin title with mark of 164-11 and fellow teammate, Mike Ludwig saved his best throw for last to take 2nd place with a mark of 149-10 (PR)!
2. Bria Saunders won the 100m with a new school record and NJ#2 time of 11.91, won the 400m with PR of 56.89 and won the 200m with new school record and NJ#1 time of 24.05!
3. In the 400m Hurdles, Jen Mlynar took 5th place in 1:07.16 and Malik Francis finished in 5th place in 58.60.
4. In the 1600m, Ally Schlosser finished 2nd in 5:11.06 (PR)and Samantha Pignatelli finished 6th in 5:24.82. On the boys side, Bhargav Tarpara took 5th place 4:31.98 (PR)!
5. In 4x800m, both relay teams finished in the top 6 to advance to Groups. Girls relay of Samantha Pignatelli, Katie Hsu, Gabby Rachmaciej and Christina Fernandez ran 10:14.12. The boys relay of Bhargav Tarpara, Aaron Wood, Ronald Tudorache and Amogh Karwar finished 4th in 8:21.09 a season best!
6. In the 800m, Lady Red Hawks went 4th and 5th with Allyson Schlosser in 2:20.19 (PR) and Jennifer Mlynar in 2:21.16. For the Boys, Peter Hernandez finished 5th with a time of 1:58.93 (PR)!
7. In 3200m, Ally Schlosser finished her third PR and 3rd place finish in 11:36.76 and Samantha Pignatelli finished 4th in 11:51.38. Bhargav took another 5th place of the meet with a PR of 9:51.52!
8. The Boys 4x100m relay of Sheldon Ealy, Kwaku Agyemang, Josh Crawford and Anderson Olave finished 2nd in 43.53 a season best!
9. In Boys 200m, Anderson Olave finished 5th with a time of 23.07.
10. In the Girls 4x400m, the relay of Jen Mlynar, Nicole Herrera, Gabby Rachmaciej and Bria Saunders capture the title with a time of 4:04.41. The Boys 4x400m relay of Christian Hulse –Carr, Josh Crawford, Peter Hernandez and Lionel Chambers finished 2nd in 3:26.94 a season best!
