Bride Wants To Find Sparta Wedding Crashers So She Can Buy Them A Drink

"She said she can't be mad because they pulled it off," the bride's maid of honor told Patch.

SPARTA, NJ — Weddings can take months to plan, with intricate details down to the seating arrangement needing the stamp of approval from the happy couple. But one local bride got a little more than she bargained for: two wedding crashers joined in on the celebration.

And now the bride wants to find them, not so she can tell them off — but so she can buy them a drink.

At first, Karen Fox figured the unknown man and woman at her Aug. 6 wedding at the Rock Island Lake Club were friends her new husband had invited.

Aimee Boardman, Fox's best friend since kindergarten and maid of honor, noticed the mystery man and his date as well, but also chalked it up to being someone from the groom's side.

"The bride also told me the next morning that she believed she might have had wedding crashers. She said she had noticed the couple, assuming the male was her husband's friend that she hadn't met," Boardman told Patch. "But then she met that one friend that she hadn't met before, later in the night. She said every time she went to address it she got side tracked."

Boardman said the man "didn't seem to fit in, but I didn't follow up" during the reception.

Suspicions about the mystery man were confirmed when Fox opened up an unusual card (pictured below). Inside the card, the man and his date had well wishes, and a confession: "Buck for luck!!" they wrote next to a single dollar bill taped inside. "Dear Fox's, 1) Congratulations! 2) Sorry for crashing your wedding 3) Best of luck!!"

The bold wedding crashers also included a Polaroid photo of themselves, wearing the same outfits they wore in the wedding photos.

According to Boardman, the crashers had a great time at the wedding and made no efforts to blend in.

"They did not try to go unnoticed at the wedding, they asked for an extra seat at the table they sat at, they ate dinner, drank, danced (even convincing people at their table to dance and even danced with the bride's nieces). Unbelievable!" Boardman said.

Now, Fox wants to buy the couple a drink.

"[Karen] leaves for her honeymoon today but would love to meet them. She said she can't be mad because they pulled it off. She'd like to buy them a drink!" Boardman said, jokingly adding, "Although I'm sure she bought them quite a few at the wedding!"

"I'd like to thank everyone who shared our special day with us... especially these 2! Well played my friends... well played!!! I need to meet these people and buy them a drink. Professional job! You gave us the best wedding present anyone could ever ask for!" Fox wrote in a Facebook post on Monday.
