'Coffee With A Cop' Returns To Parsippany, RSVP Required

'Coffee with a Cop' has become a popular event, according to the Parsippany Police Department.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — "Coffee with a Cop" has become a hit, according to the Parsippany Police Department. The event will return from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sept. 28 at Valley Bank inside Arlington Plaza.

The national Coffee with a Cop program is designed to help police and the public build relations and trust in a casual environment. The initiative began 10 years ago in Hawthorne, California, when officers looked for ways to more successfully interact with the community.
