Cybersecurity is a hot topic in our world today. Where does the responsibility for cybersecurity sit inside a business or organization?

https://livestream.com/account... Do we really have a cybersecurity skills gap? Can we ever be fully in control of the ever-changing landscape of protections required to stop the advancing horde of hackers who are innovating and in some cases, have unlimited resources?

Although I am passionate about ALL IT professional being training in the CISSP certification program, with or without taking the exam, the real issue at hand is that cybersecurity in NOT only an IT issue. It is a business issue, an enterprise communication issue, a business continuity and disaster recovery issue. This begs the question, where is the CISSP-like training for the Board, the C-suite and the business professionals. What is the cybersecurity engagement strategy? Do you have a comprehensive cybersecurity plan? Do you practice cybersecurity intrusion prevention and recovery? Do you have a CISO or virtual CISO?

This is a lot to ask. But, at the rate companies are being hacked and ransomed, the priority to get a dynamic plan is place is elevated to the top of the list.
