Dance Flash Mob Sweeps Onto N. Beverwyck Road
Students, parents, teachers and a Patch editor dance away at Mary Lou Hale's School of Dance.
took part in the National Dance Week Foundation’s first-ever flash mob Saturday afternoon. The goal of the event was to help the non-profit organization promote its campaign designed to “celebrate dance and promote fun fitness.”
Dance schools around the country, including Mary Lou Hale's, performed a fun routine created by celebrity dancer and choreographer Geo Hubela under the tutelage of instructor Judie Wrobleski.
According to Hubela, who has worked and danced with some of the biggest names in show business including Jenifer Lopez, Pink, and Christina Aguilera, “It’s vital in today’s world to get people, especially children up and active with movement.“

And indeed they were up and active: To the delight of onlookers, 69 people, including Mary Lou Hale's students and teachers, community members and Patch Editor Natalie Davis, got their groove on in unison to Outasite's "Tonight Is the Night" on North Beverwyck Road in front of the school.
Funds raised went to support the NDWF.
