Delayed Opening Tuesday For Parsippany-Troy Hills School District

Following Monday's closure, schools in the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township School District will operate on a delayed opening on Tuesday.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Schools within the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township School District will be operating on a delayed opening schedule on Tuesday, following this weekend's heavy storm that left some areas in Morris County with more than 16 inches of snow.

"Due to ongoing clearing, icy conditions, and the need for morning de-icing across buildings and transportation areas, crews will continue working to ensure safe conditions," the district said.

With a cold weather advisory activated and snow and ice still being cleaned up here and there, the school district will be opening on a two-hour delay. Buses will arrive at bus stops two hours later than normal for morning pickup.

There will be no AM SKIP on Tuesday.
