UPDATE: Route 10 E Still Closed After Crash Downs Pole, Wires

One lane reopened on the westbound side at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ —A crash, which downed a pole, closed off all lanes on both sides of Route 10 on Wednesday afternoon, according to Parsippany police. The westbound side reopened one lane at about 3:30 p.m.

The pole and utility lines fell into the roadway. The eastbound closure is between Littleton Road and Route 53.

The incident took place by Headley Avenue — according to the map — which is near Barnes & Noble and Kohl's. Officials reported the closure at 12:41 p.m.

Jersey Central Power & Light went to the scene to work on power outages in the area. There are only about 50 outages in Morris Plains as of 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the power company.
