Driver Crashes Into Pole On Parsippany's N Beverwyck Rd.: Police

Authorities believe the driver suffered a medical episode right before the Saturday crash.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Police believe a driver suffered a medical episode just before a crash Saturday on N Beverwyck Road. The driver went into the curb and struck a utility pole, according to police.

The crash occurred at 12:30 p.m. Saturday on N Beverwyck Road by Ashwood Place. After hitting the pole, the car spun to the middle of the road.

The driver told police she didn't remember anything that occurred. She stated that she had been seeing a doctor and had episodes of passing out.

Both witnesses told police that the driver appeared unconscious after the crash. When she became conscious, she remained in an altered mental state, they told police.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and the driver was the only occupant.
