
On Friday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 PM, Temple Beth Am in Parsippany will hold a special Shabbat Hallelu service featuring the Jewish rock, folk, and jazz music of Eric Komar.
The service will be celebrated with a variety of music from Komar, Cantor Inna Serebro-Litvak and the Temple band.
Listeners of all ages have enjoyed the music of Eric Komar. The veteran singer-songwriter-guitarist performs at synagogues, JCCs, and Hillels nationwide, and has appeared at CAJE and URJ Biennial conventions. Eric's debut CD Notes from the Underground (2003) contains the peace anthem "Lo Yisa Goi" as well as "Don't Give Up the Hope," a solo guitar rendition of the Israeli National Anthem which appears on URJ's Ruach 5767 CD. Eric's second effort Two Life (2007) features the social action anthem "Justice, Justice," which appears on URJ's Ruach 5769 CD and Social Action Songbook. Eric’s most recent CD is Ripples.
