Families thinking ahead to summer 2027 are invited to visit Meadowbrook Country Day Camp during an Open House on Saturday, September 26, from 12–4 p.m. at 73 East Valley Brook Road in Long Valley.

During their visit, prospective camp families will have an opportunity to meet members of Meadowbrook’s leadership team, learn about the camp’s programs and philosophy, and tour its expansive wooded campus.
“There’s no substitute for coming to Meadowbrook, walking the grounds and seeing what makes the camp so special,” said owner Mason Goldberg. “We want families to get a real feel for the community their children can become part of.”
<h2>More Than a Summer Schedule</h2>
Meadowbrook Country Day Camp is an American Camp Association-accredited day camp located on a 50-acre campus in Long Valley. The camp serves children ages 3–15 and offers programming designed to help campers build confidence, independence, friendships and lifelong memories.
At the heart of the Meadowbrook experience are three priorities: family, connection and safety.
Campers become part of a caring, supportive community where they can form meaningful friendships, try new things and develop greater confidence and independence. Meadowbrook also places a strong emphasis on creating an environment where every camper feels safe, supported and included.
The camp’s TIGER core values — Teamwork, Integrity, Generosity, Enthusiasm and Respect — are incorporated throughout the summer, encouraging campers and staff to carry those lessons with them both at camp and beyond.
<h2>A Summer Filled With Possibilities</h2>
No two days at Meadowbrook are exactly alike.
Campers can spend their summers swimming in heated pools, playing sports, boating, mountain biking, taking on ropes and challenge courses, creating art, cooking, dancing, exploring nature and participating in special events and themed activities.
The variety allows children to enjoy the activities they already love while also discovering new interests and challenging themselves in new ways.
Older campers can also participate in travel programs that combine time at Meadowbrook with off-site adventures and experiences.
And while the activities are a big part of camp, the friendships and memories children create along the way are often what stay with them the longest.
<h2>Convenience for Busy Families</h2>
Meadowbrook also offers features designed to make summer easier for parents.
The camp provides door-to-door bus transportation throughout many North Jersey communities, with routes serving areas throughout Morris, Essex, Union, Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, Middlesex and Somerset counties.
Before-care and after-care are also available, and lunch is served daily.
Another feature appreciated by Meadowbrook families is that staff tips are included in tuition, eliminating an additional end-of-summer expense.

For Goldberg, whose own children have attended Meadowbrook, creating a successful camp experience goes far beyond filling a child’s day with activities.
The goal is to give campers a place where they feel known, supported and excited to return each morning.

In this hilarious, hopeful, and achingly human play, she resurrects her teenage self to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women and the founding document that shaped their lives. What the Constitution Means to Me won the Obie Award for Best New American Play and the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for Best American Play. The play was also nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. 
The cast features veteran Pioneer actor Miriam Salerno as Heidi, whose performance has recently earned her a 2026 NJACT Perry Award Nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Play (the award will be announced in October). The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms

[Morris Plains, NJ] The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, the early 20th-century historic home of Gustav Stickley, is delighted to invite the public to a FREE Makers Day Open House on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EDT.

The Makers Day Open House will highlight the works within the museum and those of talented artisan vendors and live demonstrators, celebrating the art of craft in both historic and contemporary forms. The event will take place across the Craftsman Farms property and will include open-house access to the Log House and North Cottage, both adorned with period furniture, textiles, metals, and ceramics from the museum collection.

Completed in 1911, the Log House is one of the most important architectural achievements of the Arts and Crafts movement in America. Originally designed as a clubhouse, it became the Stickley family home and remains the heart of the property today. Docents will be available throughout the museum and grounds to share information about the history and significance of the site.

The event will feature local artisan vendors selling handmade pottery, baskets, and textiles, while sharing their artistic processes with visitors.

Guests will also be able to explore the 30-acre landscape of Craftsman Farms and participate in collaborative demonstrations of basket and textile weaving.

Join Eleventh Hour Rescue for our Par 4 Paws Golf Outing, a day of golf, great food, drinks, games, prizes, and, most importantly, helping animals in need. Funds raised through this event help cover the many expenses involved in animal rescue, including:
<ul><li>Medical bills and emergency medical care</li><li>Transportation costs to bring animals from overcrowded and high-risk shelters to safety</li><li>Spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations</li><li>Medications and preventative care</li><li>Food and fresh water</li><li>Shelter and operational expenses, including heating, air conditioning, utilities, and daily maintenance</li><li>Supplies and enrichment</li><li>And the many unexpected expenses that arise when caring for animals in need</li></ul>
Rescue doesn't end when an animal leaves a shelter. It takes transportation, medical care, food, shelter, dedicated volunteers, fosters, and an entire community of supporters to get that animal from a difficult situation to a loving forever home.

Eleventh Hour Rescue is a primarily volunteer based, no-kill rescue that saves animals on Death Row from overcrowded high kill shelters, as well as taking in strays and owner surrenders before they go to the shelter. Eleventh Hour Rescue dogs and cats are cared for by our compassionate and dedicated team of volunteers and staff.
&nbsp;Whether in foster homes, our kennel, or adoption centers, each dog and cat receive a clean and safe living environment, fresh food and water, medical attention, and most importantly an abundance of love and care until they find their forever homes. We are dedicated to educating the community about the animal overpopulation problem and the importance of spaying and neutering, as well as microchipping. Our goal is to find the best forever home possible for all of our animals, no matter what breed, size, age, or medical need.
