Family Martial Arts Center Celebrates Their Five Year Anniversary

"It all begins with one" was the answer Master Tatsuo Shimabuku provided when naming his karate style, Isshinryu Karate in Okinawa during the 1950's. Family Martial Arts Center LLC of Parsippany instructs children, teens, and adults in the same Issshinryu style and five years ago on October 5, 2012, also began with one. One karate class in a local crossfit gym. with the only students being three children of Head Instructor Jonathan Sackett and Senior Instructor, Adam Sackett.

Fast forward five years and after finding a home to call their own in late 2013, Family Martial Arts Center LLC has reached the milestone of their five year anniversary on October 5. From three students and one night to five days a week of classes, a large and thriving student base, and exciting, learning packed classes, the school has come a long way.

"Early on, I had my doubts on whether we would make it, but through hard work, non-stop energy and promotion, we have launched a successful and growing school with big plans over the next five years and beyond" stated Head Instructor Jonathan Sackett. Family Martial Arts Center LLC, in addition to their top notch classes prides itself in their community involvement participating in such events as the annual American Cancer Society Relay For Live Event, the annual Parsippany Fall Festival as well as other community events.

To celebrate their five year anniversary, the school will be holding a special class and celebration for their students on Saturday October 14.
