The recent events occurring over the removal of the Robert E Lee statue in Charlottesville Virginia including violence and death has shown the total lack of respect or knowledge for the events of history and the remnants still with us today.

Robert E Lee a southern aristocrat became commander and chief of the “confederate” secessionists, Army of Northern Virginia after resigning and breaking his oath as a US Army Officer, Lee chose to follow his State out of the Union. He began his treasonous actions by becoming first a close advisor to Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederacy.

The surrender of his large army in April 1865 brought the American Civil war to an end, and unfortunately through Lee’s failure to admit that the cause was one of the worse man ever fought for, to enslave others, under the guise of States Rights or white supremacy, based on a Christian myth of the ordered universe, which sustained the southern system of chattel slavery of African dark skinned peoples. Although this system was sanctioned by the three-fifth compromise of which our US Constitution was ratified, making the Republic a society based on race and soon to be manifest destiny based on some divine right of rule, replacing divine rights of kings and their prerogatives’. The American Empire would replace the British and eventually other European powers on the American Continent.

It was Robert E Lee in his short span of life left from 1865-1870 that helped preserve southern arrogance and begin the lost cause, its nobility and continuation of a white supremacy in governance. Blacks would remain unequal, under the laws of the south, beginning almost immediately with Black Codes for Vagrancy and forced labor, leading the Jim Crow Laws of the early 20th Century. Lee given perhaps too much leniency under President Andrew Johnson after Lincoln’s assassination, remained an unrepentant rebel. Lee’s treason remained as he failed to admit or announce the cause of the southern states during his farewell address. In short he remained a ringleader of the rebellion after the surrender. To this day more than 150 years after Appomattox his statue’s removal from a public space brings out the worse in us, and brings out the ignorance and division based on race, a Traitors Statue.

Those people were also there because they wanted to protest the taking down of a statue of Robert E. Lee.” This is support and sympathy for the Nazi, for if Lee was so great an American to this day, why Nazi’s and Fascist to defend his honor? Lee is saying, yes hate and racism still has its place. That there is no lesson of history here, or history has no lesson of understanding for us. Should we honor the cause, of white supremacy even though its principals are baseless and immoral, and that the sacrifice of the dead and injured of the Civil War and World War 2 are meaningless?

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the removal of such monuments is "changing history." "I wonder, is it George Washington next week?" Trump asked.

No Mr. Trump the father of our nation remains always, matters not if Washington was a slave holder as slavery was an element of society from ancient times, and still exists today in various forms. Robert E. Lee is not General Washington. In theory slavery would end of itself, until the coming of the cotton gin. When slavery actually increased as the profit motive and planation’s orderly society practiced and even harder version of race or color codes to continue the system, depriving humans the fruits of their labors.

Mr. Trump how can one change history? Impossible! What have your learned or actually know of history in any sense of the phenomena? Washington time was not ready for ending slavery though it was a concept and idea. He was engaged in the war against England. Robert E Lee at the time an Army Officer and initially asked to become the commander of all union forces chose his State, Virginia instead. Virginia like the other southern states was determined to maintain slavery and expand it into other American domains. Washington also a Virginian spent most of his time while fighting England 1775-1783 outside Virginia mostly in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. What impeded the war and made conditions worse and desperate for the Continental Army were the States refusing to pay their troops and supporting the Army.

Our parks and public spaces are filled with corporate trash and neglect from austerity and budget cuts. These same corporations provide no extended producers responsibilities, which would create jobs and keep our American clean from convenience pollution, rather than passing the costs off to individuals or municipalities. Our National Parks System is also being neglected and is in need of Law Enforcement Rangers and Maintenance as they suffer from abuse and negative impacts. Many Historic structures and landscapes are being lost due to neglect or senseless development.

The will of God prevails. In great contests each party claims to act in accordance with the will of God. Both may be, and one must be, wrong. God cannot be for and against the same thing at the same time. Abe Lincoln-

How are you making America Great Again? You're Not! The old Plantation system and the power of the corporations over humanity have returned. You sir, are a divider and unworthy of the office entrusted to you, as the American experiment continues to fail under free market unregulated capitalism. One lesson of history is Law & Order is not Justice.
