How Much Snow, Ice Will Parsippany Get This Weekend?

Shovels will continue to get weekend workouts in Parsippany.

If the sub-zero temperatures weren’t enough, the Parsippany area is about to get hit with more snow and ice over the weekend with measurable accumulation.

According to the National Weather Service, the Parsippany area is in line to receive anywhere between two and six inches of snow and ice between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

Snow will begin in the area after 1 p.m. Saturday, bringing anywhere between one and three inches of accumulation before nightfall. After 8 p.m., a snow and freezing rain mixture will coat the area, turning to rain and snow after 3 a.m. An additional one to three inches of snow and sleet accumulation will fall before 10 a.m. Sunday, the report said.

Temperatures will then jump to as high as 39 degrees Sunday and bring rain during the day.
