Investigation Prompts Search Of I-287, Reservoir In Parsippany

PARSIPPANY, NJ — An active investigation increased the police presence Friday around Route 287. Authorities have released few details on the matter as of noon.

The ongoing investigation from the Montville Township Police Department led to a search of the Jersey City Reservoir property and Route 287 South in Parsippany. Multiple police agencies are assisting with the search.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office revealed little about the matter.

"Active investigation, no further information to release at this time," Lt. Joseph Costello told Patch.
