Letter: Support, Friendship Greatly Appreciated in Primary Campaign

Dear Editor,

Now that the busy primary election campaign is over, we would like to express our gratitude for [the community’s] support and for the friendships that have grown through the years. Working together, we have accomplished much. A high priority has been to provide you with a responsive and responsible government. And, as you know, we have always supported efforts to improve our quality of life at the lowest possible cost.

Although the election did not go exactly as we had hoped, we are still thankful for much. To all our many supporters … the volunteers who worked on our campaign … the friends who displayed lawn signs … the friends who hosted coffee meetings at their homes … and the friends who supported our fundraisers … our heartfelt thanks.

We wish for all of you a happy and healthy Summer season. We hope to see you in the Fall.
