Longtime Assistant to Take Reigns as Parsippany High Wrestling Coach

All-American Joe Dasti will succeed Fred Piotrowsky.

Joe Dasti knows his way around the mat. Because of that, he’s been named the new Parsippany High School wrestling coach, succeeding Fred Piotrowsky after a 45-year run.

Dasti has been Piotrowsky’s assistant since the late 1990s and is a former All-American during his grappling days at Kean College in the 1980s.

“My sincere congratulations to Joe Dasti, who in my opinion, is the perfect person to succeed Coach Piotrowsky,” said Parsippany Mayor James Barberio in a statement. “When you have someone of Joe’s experience who has such dedication and passion for the sport, then it is a win-win situation for everyone involved.”
