Morris County Puppy Of The Week: Maximus

Morris County's Puppy Of The Week, Maximus, acts as his mom and dad's security guard at night, and knows how to be patient.

PARSIPPANY, NJ— Lots of pet parents emailed to tell us what made their puppy the ultimate Good Boy or Girl. Although every dog is a great dog, here's this week's Morris County Puppy Of The Week:

Meet Maximus! This is what makes Rockaway's Max so special, according to his mom, Pamela Tolentino:

This is Maximus aka Max, a 2 year old English bulldog puppy from Rockaway, NJ. Maximus practices his good boy behavior qualities in many ways. He patiently waits to eat his dinner until we give him the "OK GO" signal. He sleeps between mommy and daddy and serves as their "security guard" or that's we like to imagine. He loves making friends at the dog park and giving other dogs kisses. He is also great at returning his tennis ball when playing fetch. One great thing that we especially love is that he teaches us to stop and smell the roses more. Life goes by pretty quick and he teaches us to enjoy and appreciate our surroundings more!

Think your puppy is Puppy of the Week worthy? Send a picture and paragraph telling us why to katie.kausch@patch.com. Have a non-puppy pet you want to show off? Send them over too!
