MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — The Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department has a new building, and a new engine. Check them out at this September event.
The fire department will hold a "wetdown" and building dedication from 4-10 p.m. Sept. 25 at 909 Tabor Rd., Morris Plains. Activities will include a cash raffle, 50/50, dunk tank and bounce house and inflatable slide for the kids.
Mount Tabor firefighters moved into their new firehouse May 5 — a process that had been six years in the making. The firehouse has more than twice the square footage as their former building, different amenities to aid firefighters and a place to keep ambulances. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. with a building dedication ceremony hosted by the Board of Fire Commissioners. Live music with DJ Josh Christie, food by Chefs Catering, and beer and soda from High Grade Beverage will follow.
All parking will be on Moraine Road or Tarn Drive.
