Open Letter to President Trump National Parks Need Help Make America Great Build Back Our Park System
Our National Parks have suffered budget cuts and Negative Impacts from past administrations. Want to create Jobs? here is where to do It.
President Donald Trump.
This message is of the most importance to the dignity and respect of the very landscapes we call The United States of America; our National Parks. You have stated that one of your goals is to create jobs. (25 MILLION MORE) I say unto you our National Parks are in desperate need of reinforcement especially Law Enforcement Rangers Positions; along with maintenance and historians. In places like the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area the Ranger force is reduced to substandard minimum available manpower; this makes no sense as more people visit here now more than ever. In the beginning as many as 37-39 permanent law enforcement rangers were on staff, now that more visitors than ever are coming 9-12 Rangers some only seasonable are on staff, this trickle of workforce cannot keep up with or protect the resources from abuses. Historical structures and further inquiry into our Nations Past cannot move forward as it should to bring a sense of land & people.
Another on-going situation is when a Park Ranger issues fines or penalties for violations of the Codes of Federal Regulars these monies do not return to the Park Unit or even the National Park Service itself but disappears into the general revenue. This is a form of petty theft and becomes a demoralizing factor in the Ranger Law Enforcement Force. This should be a small task for you to change.
If America is to be great again as you say; National Parks must return to their glory and place better than ever before. A Fact Sir; the entire budget of the National Park Service amounts to one-fifth (1/5) the cost of a Modern Aircraft Carrier. How can the richest most powerful nation in the world not support or their National Parks? One final Thing we must turn around the accepted norm of our trashed and littered landscapes; everywhere one looks plastic pollution is everywhere. This is a disgrace and should be addressed. Here to lies more job possibilities, keeping America Beautiful by Minimum Annual income jobs, that keep our neighborhoods and open spaces free of trash. The corporations that make all this plastic must take more responsibility. At present they pass off this responsibility to the consumers; or by simply stamping a recycle symbol on their materials. As a culture and society we must have more respect for the materials we handle and the places we impact directly and indirectly.
Please Consider these Matters Here mentioned
