Overturned Dump Truck On Rt. 80 Closes Most Lanes

Breaking: Drivers who take Route 80 in either direction should prepare for delays.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — An overturned dump truck on Route 80 is caused delays in both directions Friday morning, NJ DOT said, and those delays will likely last through the drive home.

The truck overturned and spilled gravel near Exit 42 on the westbound side in Parsippany at 6:30 a.m. Three lanes and the exit ramp were closed thorough the morning commute, with delays reaching an hour.

Officials expect clean up efforts to last through the drive home, State Police told the Daily Record. Three lanes of the road are expected to be closed for most of the day. Drivers should take an alternate route, and plan for delays.
