Parsippany Celebrates Citizen Police Academy Graduates
The program is aimed towards bridging the gap between Police Officers and the community they serve.
PARSIPPANY, NJ - The Parsippany Police Department closed out 2019 be celebrating the 2019 Fall Citizen’s Police Academy Class.
On Dec. 19 the officials held a graduation ceremony where the students of this class were recognized for their achievements. The Citizen’s Police Academy is a ten-week program that is aimed towards bridging the gap between Police Officers and the community they serve. Students were able to get both classroom and hands-on experience in the situations that police officers deal with on a daily basis.
"We would like to thank Mayor Michael Soriano and Chief of Police, Andrew Miller for making this program possible," the Department posted to social media. "We would also like to thank Lt. Carrozzino, Sgt. Puso, Sgt. Conover, Ptl. Levi and Ptl. D’Alessandro along with retired Sgt. Paul Carifi and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office K-9 and Bomb Squad Units for sharing their knowledge, experiences and expertise with the class."
