Parsippany Church hosts Halloween Blood Drive

This Halloween, the living "dead" Vampires and Ghouls are welcome to make a blood donation, but no withdrawals allowed. www.elcaAndy.org

St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 335 Reynolds Ave in Parsippany, will host blood a drive on Halloween, Saturday, October 31 from 10 am until 3 pm. This is no trick, but there will be treats. To celebrate the congregation’s 50th anniversary, the church is hosting over 50 different service projects during 2015. One project is a goal to collect over 50 pints of blood donations. Earlier this year, the church hosted a blood drive and collected about 23 pints of blood, so another blood drive is needed to meet the goal.

Everyone who donates blood will receive a “thank you” Halloween gift. Blood donors are invited to come in costume, but all vampires and ghouls are asked to remember that they’ll be making a blood donation, not a withdrawal.

For more information about St. Andrew or the blood drive, or directions to the church, please go to www.elcaandy.org or call the church at 973-887-6713.
