Parsippany Eagle Scouts Honored By County
Noah Munn and Erik Darling were recognized by the county for their work on their Eagle Scout projects.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Two Parsippany Eagle Scouts were recognized earlier this month by the Morris County Board of Freeholders for their Eagle Scout projects, which benefited the local community.
Erik Darling and Noah Munn, both from Troop 173 in Parsippany, recently achieved the highest rank in the Boy Scouts after completing extensive community service projects. The projects cap off long careers in the Scouts for both boys, who are recent high school graduates.
"It is a privilege for the Board of Freeholders to celebrate these young men and women who took it upon themselves to make positive impacts on their respective communities," Freeholder Director Doug Cabana said in a statement. "They, obviously, are the future leaders of Morris County and we salute them."

Darling completed rehabilitation work for the Mount Tabor Historical Society, building new fencing, fixing a shed, and creating a new walkway. Darling's project used parameters set by the Historical Society to make sure his renovations fit the historical character of the building. He is a graduate of Parsippany Hills High School, and will attend East Stroudsburg University this fall.
Munn built and installed ten bat houses in Mount Tabor to help give endangered species new homes. Munn previously received the Angler Award, Outdoor Award for camping, and World Conservation Award, and participated in the National Youth Leadership Training and the National Scout Jamboree. He is a graduate of Morris County School of Technology in Veterinary Science Academy.
