Parsippany Eyes Late Councilman's $599K Property for New EMS Building
Governing body could pass ordinance in August to acquire lot currently owned by estate of James Vigilante.
The Parsippany-Troy Hills Township council could keep the spirit of James Vigilante alive for the use of the municipality if the governing body approves an ordinance at its next meeting.
Introduced at its July meeting, the council is looking at an ordinance that would purchase the lot at 19 Littleton Road, formerly owned by the late James Vigilante, and turn it into parking and administrative offices for the Parsippany Emergency Medical Services staff.
Vigilante served as a Parsippany councilman from 1996 to 2008 and again for six months in 2012. He died of a heart attack in November 2013.

The ordinance reads, in part, that “the township desire to make improvements to the property as required to utilize the property (and the existing structure thereon) for use as administrative and office space and vehicle parking for the Par-Troy EMS to facilitate the provision of prompt, professional emergency medical services to residents and visitors of the Township.”
The property is currently listed for $599,900 and includes five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two half bathrooms and a three-car garage.
