Parsippany High School Principal Named NJ Administrator of the Year

Honor bestowed to Dr. Mulrooney at Association of Student Councils.

Dr. Denis Mulrooney is Parsippany through and through. And now, he gets to share a major honor with his hometown.

The Parsippany High School principal was recently named administrator of the year by the New Jersey Association of Student Councils in front of more than 1,500 middle and high school student leaders and their advisors.

Mulrooney has served as principal at Parsippany High School for the last two years and held the same role at Lake Parsippany Elementary School before that. Before becoming an administrator, Mulrooney taught at Parsippany High School, which is also his alma mater.

Student Council Executive Secretary Ally Schlosser said in a statement, “some of Dr. Mulroony’s best traits are his attention to detail and his willingness to accept all ideas within reason, no matter what they may be. Happiness and helping others are something he teaches student leaders and encourages them to take part in on a daily basis. He inspires natural leaders to challenge themselves and encourages more timid students to break out of their shells and get involved. His sudden impact on Parsippany High School and the student leaders within is one that will last for decades to come.”
