Parsippany Hosting Free Cyber Safety Seminar

PARSIPPANY, NJ - Hot to protect yourself from the dangers of the internet will be the topic of discussion at the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills and local business Micro Strategies' free public seminar.

Scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 22 at Micro Strategies located at 1140 Parsippany Boulevard, the primary goal will be to learn the basics of how to keep personal information protected in the internet age.

Taught by Scott Fitzgerald, Information Security Officer for Micro Strategies, guests will learn:

• How to identify phishing tactics
• Current trends are happening in the world of cyber security
• Password best practices
• Habits to remain cyber secure

There will also be a question and answer period. Those with questions can call the Mayor’s Action Center at 973-262-4262.
