This Parsippany Ice Cream Spot Was Named One Of The Best In NJ
A Best of NJ list naming the best ice cream shops in the state featured a popular Parsippany location.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — As the temperatures begin to cool, ushering in the fall season, there's no better way to bid farewell to the summer than with an icy, sweet treat.
And, according to a recent ranking, there is no better spot in Parsippany to get an ice cream cone than Lake Hiawatha Dairy.
The website Best of NJ put together a list of the best ice cream shops in New Jersey, and Parsippany's Lake Hiawatha Dairy ranked as one of the top North Jersey spots.

The Lake Hiawatha Dairy ice cream shop has been serving the community for over three decades, according to the company's website. The Pascarella family began the business in 1989 as a Carvel franchise and changed its name to Lake Hiawatha Dairy in 2000 when the family opted to become independently owned.
The popular shop serves fresh ice cream that is prepared on-site every day. They also provide photo cakes and personalized decorating for any event.

There are more than 50 flavors to pick from.
Some fan favorites at the shop include chocolate Nutella crunch, vanilla cherry chunk, maple nut and butter pecan.
In addition to ice cream, the shop offers Italian ice and dole whip. There are six flavors of Dole Whip to choose from: cherry, lemon, lime, orange, pineapple, and raspberry, as well as five flavors of Italian ice to choose from: mango, rainbow, lemon, cherry and cotton candy.
During peak season, they also provide creamsicle soft serve, which is popular. In the fall, pumpkin pie soft serve and pumpkin crumble hard flavors are available.
"We look forward to continuing to introduce new products and flavors throughout the year, and we thank you for your continued patronage and support," the Pascarella family said on the company's website.
Lake Hiawatha Dairy is located at 79 N. Beverwyck Road in Lake Hiawatha and is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
