Parsippany Police To Hold Coffee With A Cop
The public can join police for coffee and conversation Sept. 8 at IHOP.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Parsippany Police Department will host a "Coffee with a Cop" event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sept. 8 at IHOP (792 Route 46 W).
The national Coffee with a Cop program is designed to help police and the public build relations and trust in a casual environment. The initiative began 10 years ago in Hawthorne, California, when officers looked for ways to more successfully interact with the community.
Since then, Coffee with a Cop has spread to all 50 states and Canada, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Australia.
