Parsippany Reports 5 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases, 45 In County

Morris County officials reported that Parsippany and Pequannock are the only two townships to report five new cases over the past 24 hours.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Parsippany saw an increase of five new confirmed coronavirus cases on Tuesday on a day when Morris County health officials reported 45 new cases, according to data released by the county.

Parsippany is now reporting 4,730 total COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday and seen its caseload increase by 35 new cases over the past six days. The Township joined Pequannock was the only two Morris County municipalities to see five new cases over the past 24 hours.

Morris County has reported 46,983 confirmed cases since the pandemic began, which ranks among the third lowest among New Jersey counties with only Burlington County and Mercer County reporting fewer cases.

As of Tuesday, 5.7 million New Jersey residents have been fully vaccinated, according to state health officials.
