
PARSIPPANY, NJ — Anna Baron celebrated a milestone birthday on Oct. 11: she turned 100.
She celebrated with a party at Genesis Nursing home on Tuesday, which Parsippany Mayor Barberio attended. Oct. 17, 2017 was declared Anna Baron Day in her honor.

Anna, the eldest of six siblings was born on October 11, 1917. She quit school at an early age to help support her family during the Depression. Anna grew up in Roslyn, Long Island and years later, married Theodore Baron. They had 2 sons, Theodore, Jr. and Richard. Her family flourished with the addition of 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Anna loved being a housewife and stay-at-home mom.
