Parsippany Troy Hills Library Presents Lecture Series with Metropolitan Museum Educator
Dr. Michael Norris will hold four lectures on the art form Impressionism.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Parsippany Troy Hills Public Library will hold a series of lectures on Impressionism with Metropolitan Museum educator Dr. Michael Norris beginning Oct. 7.
The lectures are part of the continuing Live Well Age Smart series.
Norris will present a four part series that will discuss the art form's origin in France, and the influence Impressionism has had on American collectors and artists. He'll cover the fascination with water in Paris in Impressionism, standout 19th century artists, and more.

The first lecture will take place from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 7. This lecture is titled, "A New French Revolution: Impressionism in Art."
The next lecture, "Impressionists on the Water," will take place at the same time on Oct. 14. The "Impressionism and Paris" lecture will be held Friday, Oct. 21 and lastly, "Impressionism and America" will be at the same time on Friday, Oct. 28.
