Police say a northbound van struck a southbound Jeep that had the green, and the van's driver now faces careless driving and traffic signal violation charges.

Parsippany Announces Free Outdoor Movie Mini-Series at Veterans Memorial Park (tapinto.net) — Parsippany is hosting two free outdoor movie nights at Veterans Memorial Park, starting with the Bollywood classic "Sholay" on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. A second screening on Saturday, Sept. 12 will feature a New Jersey–connected film chosen by residents, with families encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for a relaxed evening under the stars.

Florham Park Figure Skating Club Wins 14 Medals at U.S. Nationals; Two Skaters Qualify for World Team (parsippanyfocus.com) — Two young Parsippany skaters helped the Florham Park Figure Skating Club bring home 14 medals from the USA Roller Sports National Championships in Nebraska. Nine-year-old Aadhira Venugopal defended multiple national titles, while 12-year-old Shrinidhi Bingi earned silver and reached the finals in another event, showcasing strong talent from right here in Parsippany.
