Payless Looks To Close Parsippany Location
A decision about the store's future could come as early as June 8.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — Shoppers might have to start looking else wear for discount shoes: Payless is seeking to close the Route 46 Parsippany location.
Payless has asked a federal bankruptcy court for permission to close 112 stores, including the Parsippany location, and potentially another 296 if conditions don't improve, Fortune.com reported.
Closure is not a certainty yet, and a final decision depends on bankruptcy negotiations. "We remain hopeful that these negotiations will be successful and provide us with the ability to avoid additional closures," a Payless website says.
