Four people in New Jersey won prizes in the Powerball lottery on Wednesday as the jackpot has now swelled to $415 million.
That's the highest jackpot level since the $1.6 billion grand prize was awarded earlier this year, and the seventh largest Powerball jackpot in the game’s history.
And now New Jersey Lottery officials say there is "great potential" for it to climb in the ranks prior to Saturday’s drawing.

And, of course, no one has won the big prize - yet.
The winning tickets from last night’s drawing were sold at the following locations:
- Bergen County: Convenience Food Mart, 184 Rivervale Rd., Rivervale,
- Essex County: Quick Chek #59, 12 Eisenhower Parkway, Roseland,
- Hudson County: National News III, 475 Westside Ave., Jersey City, and
- Middlesex County: Quick Out Food Store, 1111 Saint George Ave., Colonia.
If these tickets would have been purchased with Power Play, they would be worth $150,000 each.
The Powerball jackpot rolls to $415 million with a cash value of $269.7 million for the next drawing to be held Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
In addition to the third-prize-winning tickets sold, there were 111,735 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $564,648 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase."
The current Powerball roll began on March 5 and Saturday’s roll will be the 19th. During that time, New Jersey sold three tickets that matched the five white balls winning $1 million dollars each.
The state lottery also sold 18 tickets that matched four white balls and the Powerball winning $50,000 each and three tickets that matched the four white balls and the Powerball drawn. Those three tickets but were purchased with the Power Play multiplier, making them worth $150,000 each.
In total, 659,632 New Jersey Lottery players won fixed prizes of more than $7.8 million.
