Prosecutor: Parsippany Man Tried Setting Lakefront Home on Fire
Man and alleged victims were 'not strangers' to one another, authorities said.

A Parsippany man has been arrested and charged with arson Wednesday after authorities say he lit a couch on fire outside a home, leading to damage and injuring a resident, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced.
Police and fire officials responded to a Lakeshore Drive home in Parsippany early Wednesday morning for a report of a fire, Knapp said. When they arrived, it was clear that a couch located outside the home had been set on fire, which caused damage to the home itself, Knapp said.
The fire was extinguished and one of the residents sustained minor injuries during an attempt to put out the fire before first responders arrived, Knapp said.
