Incumbents, 1 Newcomer Win GOP Primary for Parsippany Council
10 candidates were eyeing three seats in November Election.

The race for three seats on the Parsippany council was a heated one, with six Republicans and four Democrats all vying for three seats in the November Election.
The hotly-contested Republican race ended with incumbent Paul Carifi, Jr. gaining the most votes with 1,529, followed by fellow incumbent Michael dePierro, with 1,505 votes, and newcomer Loretta Gragnani receiving the third-most votes, with 1,444.
Those three beat out former councilman Vincent Ferrara, John Beehler, and Aida Visakay.

On the Democrat side of the ballot, challengers Janice McCarthy (462 votes), Gregory Elbin (418 votes), and Nicholas Kumburis (388 votes) beat out Thomas Fulco for the three available slots on the November ballot.
