A recovery operation was suspended Sunday night after a canoe capsized on White Meadow Lake in Rockaway Township early Sunday morning. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office along with Rockaway Township police announced that police were dispatched to the lake around 3 a.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls regarding a capsized canoe carrying two males. Authorities said one male was recovered and transported to St. Clare's Denville Campus Hospital and was released. A recovery operation took place the remainder of the day until operations were suspended shortly after nightfall.
