Red Hawks earn County Titles by Land and Air as Saunders & Campbell Shine Gold

Day 2 at Morris County Championship gave a way to 2 individual county titles for the Red Hawks, new records and several personal best.  

Off the Track the throwers were setting personal bests practically on every throw.  In the Javelin, Kathryn PR an amazing 3 times on route to her 1st Morris County Title with a new school record of 131-07! Also in the Javelin, Donna Herbst finished 11th with a mark of 101-07 and Elena Figueroa threw for a person best of 99-05 for 13th place. In the Discus, Donna Herbst threw for a personal best with a mark of 78-01.  For the Boys Shot Put, John Burk threw a personal best of 40-09.00.

On the track, Bria Saunders remained in record setting mode as she broke her own Morris County Championship meet record in the 200m with fast 24.49.  In the 800m, Sophomore Ally Schlosser finished in 6th with a personal best of 2:20.42 while Jen Mlynar finished 8th with a time of 2:21.14.  The Lady Red Hawk 4x400m of Jen Mlynar, Nicole Herrera, Gabby Rachmaciej and Bria Saunders ran a season best of 4:02.67 with a 2nd place finished.

For the Boys Javelin, Mike Ludwig threw a personal best yesterday of 148-11 for a 11th place finish. In the 110m hurdles, Malik Francis ran a personal bests of 15.31 with a 4th place finish. The 3200m run provided another personal best for the Red Hawks.  Coming off an impressive 3200m performance at NJAC, Bhargav Tarpara continues to lower his time with a 9:53.80 and a 8th place finish.  In the 4x400m, the relay of Christian Hulse-Carr, Malik Francis, Peter Hernandez and Lionel Chambers ran a season best of 3:26.65 for a 5th place finish.  It was awesome and familiar sight to Lionel passing runners on the final 100m.

Although, the Girls were a few points shy of winning the Morris County Small School title, the meet boasted personal bests, broken records, 2 county titles and no rain!
