Red Hawks to compete at State Group Track Championship in Egg Harbor

Red Hawks gear up to travel south on the GSP to take on some the best track & field athletes in NJ at the Group 2 State Championship. 

The meet is a 2-day event hosted by Egg Harbor Township High School with a 2:30pm start on Friday and a 11am start on Saturday which means...this is an overnight trip for the team.

On the track, the Lady Red Hawks are led by 4-time State Champion Bria Saunders who looks to add 3 more State titles to her decorated HS track career.  Sophomore Ally Schlosser who PR’d in all her events last week at Sectionals and will lead the mid-distance charge as the Lady Red Hawks aim to be at their best in their events.  In the Javelin, Kathryn Campbell looks to continue her dominance and add a State title to her champion title mantle…what an impressive outdoor season this underclassmen is having!

For the Boys, it be a much tougher challenge to win an individual State title and there's no doubt they are up to the challenge.  In the Javelin, Dan Campbell and Mike Ludwig will have their hands full as they battle with the top throwers in Group 2 where the eventual winner will have to throw a mark close to 200. On the Track, the boys will be led by Senior Bhargav Tarpara whose been on a personal best mission since MCC.  Last week, Bhargav broke the 3200m school record that stood for 14 years!!!  In the 4x100m, the Boys are seeded 4th and will need flawless baton exchanges to earn a top 6 finish!
