Report: Parsippany Paid Twp. Attorney's Firm $143K For Ongoing Whole Foods Saga
John Inglesino was recently in court seeking to dismiss lawsuit from RD Management, report says.

Another twist in the ongoing battle between Parsippany and a development group hoping to build a Whole Foods Market and townhomes has been made public, with township attorney John Inglesino’s firm being paid more than $143,000 in legal fees throughout the process.
According to parsippanyfocus.com, through December 2014, Inglesino’s firm has been paid $143,658.60 for the township attorney to defend the municipality. That figure includes a $20,139 line item to create an open space application with the County of Morris deemed “the worst application” ever seen by one member of the Open Space Committee, the report said.
RD Management, the development group looking to build in the Waterview Development area of Parsippany, was in court last week with Inglesino, the report said. The township is fighting to dismiss a lawsuit brought by the developer stating the council’s decision not to rezone the area for business use was “arbitrary and capricious,” the report said.

Inglesino is in his second year of not being confirmed as the township’s attorney when his appointment was denied by the council at its January reorganization meeting. It is now up to Mayor James Barberio to nominate a township attorney to fill the role and be voted upon by the council.
