Republicans, Democrats Put In Bids For Parsippany Council

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The primary election for the Parsippany Troy-Hills Council is only contested for one party, according to the Morris County Clerk's Office.

Four Republicans are running for three spots on the ticket; three Democrats are running for three spots. Those elected in the primary will face off in the November general election for three four-year terms.

Three of the four Republicans running are incumbents.

The following candidates will be on the primary ballot:

• Republican James Carifi
• Republican Michael J. dePierro (incumbent)
• Republican Paul Carifi Jr. (incumbent)
• Republican Loretta Gragnani (incumbent)
• Democrat Cori A. Herbig
• Democrat Robert Kaminski
• Democrat Judith Hernandez

The primary election is on June 4 and the general election is on Nov. 5. All petitions are pending certification by the County Clerk's Office.
