UPDATE: Exit 1 Reopens, Still Some Closures In Parsippany

Update: Exit 1 from Route 280 West has reopened, Parsippany police said at 1:50 p.m. Friday. Park Road has also reopened.

New Road and the bridge into Montville from Vail Road remain closed. Edwards Road, between Route 46 and New Road, has limited access.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Two days after Ida passed through, several roads, an exit and a bridge remain closed in Parsippany. Here are the current road closures as of 9 a.m. Friday, according to Parsippany police:

• Only Rutgers Village residents can access their complex through Route 46. Edwards Road has flooded, preventing access to the rear of the complex.
• Edwards Road (south side of Route 46) is closed from Route 46 to New Road.
• Exit 1 from Route 280 West is closed.
• New Road is closed in both directions between Wawa and Route 46 East. The ramp from Route 46 East onto New Road is open, but you can only make a left onto northbound New Road, which allows you to cross Route 46.
• The bridge on Vail Road that goes into Montville is closed.
• The intersection of Hennion Road and Park Road is closed due to a fallen tree.

The Parsippany area received nearly 6 inches of rain from the storm, causing some local bodies of water to flood. The Rockaway River saw minor flooding, according to the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration.
