Route 10 Lane Closures In Effect This Week

From NJDOT: New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the start of a maintenance resurfacing project on Route 10 westbound that will require lane closures between Parsippany-Troy Hills and Roxbury in Morris County.

Beginning tonight, Monday, November 13, from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning, and continuing each night this week through Friday, November 17, NJDOT’s contractor, Della Pello Paving Inc., is scheduled to close a single lane on Route 10 westbound beginning at Route 53 in Parsippany-Troy Hills (mile post 10.66) through Hillside Avenue in Roxbury (mile post 0.9) to mill and pave deteriorated portions of the roadway.

Route 10 is two lanes through most of the project limits, however there are portions that are three lanes. In the sections with three lanes, one lane will be closed at 8 p.m. and a second lane will close at 9 p.m. At least one lane will be maintained throughout construction. Ramps will be closed and detoured to the next available exit as necessary. Route 10 eastbound will be unaffected by the construction. It was resurfaced over the summer.

Variable message signs will be utilized throughout the project limits to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with the resurfacing project.
