Rt. 46 E In Parsippany Closed Due To Downed Wires
A tractor-trailer pulled down a bundle of utility wires belonging to Verizon across Route 46, according to police.

Update: The closures are on the east side as of 12:15 p.m. The right lane is open as of 1:30 p.m.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — Downed wires caused closures to all lanes on Route 46 East on Friday morning. Officials expect 10-minute delays in the area.
Officials announced the closures at 11:48 a.m. The wires fell onto the roadway near Arlington Plaza, by ShopRite.

The wires aren't electrical. Jersey Central Power & Light has not reported any outages in Parsippany as of noon. But they are obstructing the roadway, so utility crews are on their way.
