State Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a truck involved in a serious hit-and-run crash this weekend.

The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public's assistance with identifying a tractor-trailer that was involved in a crash that seriously injured Roger Hill, 54, of Dover earlier Friday.

At 3:05 a.m., the unidentified tractor-trailer was traveling on I-80 westbound in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township, police said.

In the area of milepost 42.3, the truck struck Hill, who was in the roadway. Hill sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Morristown Medical Center. The driver of the truck departed the scene immediately after the crash, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
