Plane Crashes In Morris County Woods, Nobody Hurt

LINCOLN PARK, NJ — A small plane crashed Sunday evening near the Lincoln Park Airport. The pilot and passenger went uninjured and refused medical attention, according to police.

The crash occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the woods near the airport. Patrol units and the Lincoln Park Fire Department and First Aid Squad came to the scene.

Officers found a 1973 Piper PA-28 aircraft ran off the runway and stopped in the heavy bushes adjacent to the airport. The pilot reported a heavy crosswind made him lose control while attempting to land.
