Temple Beth Am Offers Free Hebrew Reading Crash Course Level 2

For Adults in the Parsippany Jewish community who have learned the alef-bet and would like to sharpen their skills and learn Shabbat prayer.

FREE HEBREW READING CRASH COURSE LEVEL II:
TAKING THE NEXT STEP

(Parsippany, NJ, January 8, 2017) – Parsippany’s Temple Beth Am is offering a FREE Hebrew Reading Crash Course Level II to all members of the Parsippany Jewish community. This series, sponsored by NJOP, is geared toward those who have already learned the alef-bet and beginning reading skills, and want to improve their Hebrew reading and comprehension and learn more about the Sabbath prayers. Temple Beth Am is offering the course in an effort to inspire Parsippany’s Jews to become more involved in Jewish life.
The Hebrew Reading Crash Course Level II, which begins 9:45AM on January 15 at Temple Beth Am, 879 South Beverwyck Rd. in Parsippany and runs for six sessions, is designed to strengthen the participants’ skills in reading the prayerbook, and enhance understanding of the ideas and concepts behind the Shabbat service). As noted by Education Director Lynn Anne Cutler, “This course will make your experience in the synagogue more stimulating and meaningful, and will help you feel more comfortable at Shabbat services.” Additionally, the series broadens the Hebrew vocabulary of participants through the study of prayerbook terminology and familiarizes them with the rituals and tunes used in the Shabbat service.
