Vatican Releases Pope's Itinerary For New York Visit
Pontiff's trip will begin in Washington D.C., end in Philadelphia.

The Vatican has released the itinerary for the Pope’s visit to New York City in September.
Pope Francis’s trip to the east coast will be jam-packed with meetings and Masses between Sept. 22 and 27, which begins in Washington D.C., heads north to New York City, then culminates in a World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.
Here is the Pontiff’s itinerary for the New York portion of the trip, according to the Vatican.

Thursday, Sept. 24
- 5 p.m.: Arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport
- 6:45 p.m. Evening Prayer at St. Patrick’s Cathedral
Friday, Sept. 25

- 8:30 a.m.: Visit to United Nations, address U.N. General Assembly
- 11:30 a.m.: Multi-religious service at 9/11 Memorial and Museum
- 4 p.m. Visit to Our Lady Queen of Angels School in East Harlem
- 6 p.m.: Mass at Madison Square Garden
Pope Francis will then take off from John F. Kennedy International Airport at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 for the remainder of the trip, which will take place in Philadelphia.
